Brand new character fresh to the game and ready to take on any challenges thrown her way! Yippie!I've never properly played through the game for the story, so this is my character to do just that! Hoping it will open up more roleplay opportunities in the future!I'm still early in ARR, but I'm making progress! I didn't realize how much I would enjoy the new player experience of running all over doing silly quests to unlock spells and the glamour system and such, but it's great so far!This carrd is still a bit of a work in progress so please be patient!

Deeper Background

  • Her name is Mewl because she forgot her birth name and just calls herself an easy sound she can make.

  • Her loved ones often call her "Mewling" as a nickname because she is so small and weak, like if there were actual "mewls" she would be a mewling.

  • She became an adventurer because she didn't like her clan's nuhn and wanted to run away with a tia that's an adventurer.

  • He refused, saying I only date people that can back me up in a fight, and you are too stupid and clumsy and ditzy to do that.

  • She takes this as a challenge to prove herself, and sets off to become a strong adventurer for his love.

  • While questing, she accidentally boards the wrong airship and ends up in Gridania, but doesn't have enough gil to take one back to Thanalan like she meant, and resigns herself to walking.

  • She then stumbles upon a master thaumaturge in Quarrymill looking to pass on his knowledge because his previous apprentice recently died in the Palace of the Dead, but he's very unconcerned about the loss.

  • She is so weak and pathetic that when he meets her he is endeared and reminded of himself, so he decides to be her mentor and takes her as an apprentice and they end up with a bit of a problematic relationship.

  • As a thaumaturge, she is only able learn fire, blizzard, and sleep, but can also only cast sleep on herself.

  • Now that she has a couple spells, she has been filled with incredible confidence, much to the detriment of herself and entertainment of those around her.
